A cap on how much daily hospital room cost your health policy will cover.
Some health policies limit the room rent they will pay, often a percentage of the sum insured per day.
Pick a costlier room and the insurer may proportionately cut all your other bills too, a nasty surprise.
Prefer policies with no room rent limit, so a private room doesn't quietly slash your entire claim.
For example
With a 1% room rent cap on a ₹5L policy, that is ₹5,000/day. Choose a ₹8,000 room and the insurer may scale down your whole bill.
